With fall right around the corner I decided to start creating some new scarf and cowl patterns to wear with the cooler weather. I have loved this yarn since the first time I used it and decided it would make a great infinity scarf/cowl pattern. Using simple double crochet and chains I whipped up this scarf in no time flat! It is worked in the round and uses only 2 skeins of Berroco Elements. Since these are small skeins I imagine only one 3.5 oz skein would probably make this! We just finally started getting fall weather and I am totally excited to start wearing my boots and scarves!!

|For you visual crocheters, I have included this chart. Please keep in mind this does not include the chains at the beginning of each row. This is simply the pattern repeat to give you a better idea how the double crochets stack. Rows 9-12 should look like rows 1-4. Hope this helps!|
A while ago I was contacted by Red Heart to create a beach bag for Red Heart United Kingdom and Red Heart Deutschland. I immediately said “yes!” and went to work on this bag as soon as I got the yarn. The Lisa Big Color yarn worked up so quickly – even though it is a big bag! I am thrilled to have a pattern in the European market.
So excited to see all my patterns coming out so quickly now. I felt like I hadn’t had much published even though I have been working nonstop all year. I still have several things I’m waiting on to be published in future issues, and one project I’m working on right now. I have also done some knitting, which will be released later in the year. Keep checking back for new patterns and updates!
I have a pattern in the October issue of Crochet World. This is the Convertible Cowl. I love the way it turned out and I love that I got to use one of my favorite yarns – Berroco Comfort. I bought my first Comfort a long time ago at our local yarn store and just love the way it feels. This color is so nice, too. The thing I love about this project is that there are so many different ways to wear it. Buttons on top, buttons on bottom, buttons closed or open, etc.
If you would like to see more from this issue, check it out at the Crochet World website! More patterns should be arriving soon! Working on more free patterns as well – when time allows. Thanks for stopping by!
