Here at our house we are enjoying our last weekend together as a family of five – our new little guy is coming on Monday! I’ve been induced with all of our boys and it is that time for our last to arrive. We have spent this Thanksgiving weekend getting all the tiny clothes, toys and other items together and it is finally really sinking in that we are having a baby in two days. Two days!! Part of me is sad because we know this is the last one (I mean, really, four boys is enough to keep us crazy busy!) but at the same time I think I am ready to move past this point in our lives and move past the baby stage but four has always been my dream.
For this week’s free pattern, I just really had to create something for baby C so I decided on a quick and easy pair of baby booties. I always wanted to do some kind of loafer but usually ended up with a feminine pair and put this design by the wayside. Not this time! I want this kiddo to wear these in the hospital so I made up my mind to finish these. It was my first time using Berroco Cotton for baby booties and this yarn was absolutely perfect for these. I had a partial skein left from another project and it was way more than enough. I made these a little smaller than usual since I wanted a newborn size, but I’ve included the other sizes I normally add so you can make these up to a 6-12 month if you like. 🙂
