The June issue of I Like Crochet came out this month and it is full of amazing new patterns! I love the cover photography, don’t you?
Talk about making you feel ready for summer!! My school year is winding to a close (less than two weeks!) so I’m definitely feeling the summer vibes. We are planning a trip to Florida this year and it’s been a while since we’ve been to the beach so I am thinking that several beach-inspired projects are a must before we go.
In this issue, I have two patterns that I designed and it was a blast. The Deep Waters Tee is one of my favorite sweaters I have designed to date and I really enjoy working with Malabrigo Worsted. I knit or crochet with it every chance I get!!

Check out the details on the yarn!! The color changes are awesome.
I am so happy with how this turned out and the photography turned out so well, too! Plus, this is a super easy project using V-sts that has kimono sleeves and very little seaming!
My other pattern in this issue is the Captain Cutie Boat Shoes. I have to admit, I’m really “hooked” on making booties now and have designed several pair for this blog, a guest post on Petals to Picots, and two pair for publication (including these). I plan on plenty more, too!
This pattern was created with Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton and this is one of my favorite cotton yarns. I have two yarns that are my go-to’s for baby booties: 24/7 Cotton and Red Heart Baby Hugs. Both make amazing booties!
This pattern was inspired by older kid and adult versions of boat shoes and I enjoyed creating a baby version. For those of you who know me, you know I have three sons but usually end up designing more feminine baby items. This was such a treat to create a pair of baby booties for BOYS! 🙂
There are many other amazing patterns in this issue: you can check them all out here. You are sure to find some great summer projects in this issue. You can get them all plus many more patterns by subscribing to I Like Crochet magazine!
