Today’s tutorial video is showing you how to crochet a basic slip stitch. A slip stitch can be used to join pieces, to shape, or to move the yarn across the fabric without creating any extra height. You will see this when you work in the round (join with sl st) or when working a piece that decreases a certain number, such as an armhole edge of a sweater (sl st in first 3 sts). It’s a very basic stitch that is a must if you are learning to crochet.
