Annie’s has graciously made this pattern free on their website! This was such a fun project to make and turned out so cute, I can imagine it looking great in a variety of colors. This pattern originally appeared in the February 2015 issue of Crochet World and has been a really popular project. I am really excited to see it as a free pattern so more people can enjoy it.
The texture of this bag is achieved by alternating single crochet in the front and back loops only. I love using this stitch as it is easy enough for an advanced beginner and gives an amazing texture to the fabric. The color blocking is achieved by following a chart, then the lines are added with surface slip stitch. This is one of my favorite bag patterns I have designed and I hope you enjoy it!
I love working with Crochet World magazine and have had patterns appear in several of their issues. To grab your free copy of this pattern, check out the pdf at Annie’s here.
